Americas: Would You Get Hired as a Pharma Planner Today?

The Open Payments section of the Affordable Healthcare Act, which requires pharmaceutical and other life sciences companies to track and publicly report what they spend on healthcare professionals—including at meetings—has been roiling the waters for life sciences meeting professionals for the past several years. Planners have had to devise ways to collect compliance data and report it daily, participate in audits to ensure the data is correct, and then develop internal systems for resolving disputes that the HCPs may have with what’s being reported about them.
