Americas: U.S. Fails to Make Top 10 (or Even Top 29) Best Airports

In partnership with:

For the third consecutive year, Singapore Changi Airport tops the list of the World’s Best Airports, released this month by air travel rating company Skytrax. Launched in 1999, the awards are based on surveys of passengers worldwide. The survey has grown every year since it began: More than 13 million entries were counted for the most recent rankings.

More than half of the top 10 airports are in Asia; Japan claims two top-10 spots after Central Japan International rose to 7th from 12th last year. (Meanwhile a third airport in Japan, Kansai International, moved from 14th to 12th—could it break the top 10 in 2016?)

North America squeaks in at #11 (Vancouver International Airport) but then disappears until Cincinnati pops up at #30. South America fared worse, with its highest-ranking airport, Lima Airport, in at #35; but not as bad as India, with its best, Delhi International Airport, reaching #58 (on the positive side, that’s up one notch).
